Leonardo Onori

He was born in Rome on 6 June 1948. From a very young age, he assisted his father, Fernando Onori, a sculptor and one of the proponents of the rebirth of the Università dei Marmorari. Under the guidance of his father, he learned the secrets of ancient marble and of the processing techniques. In 1975 he graduated in architecture and undertook a career that encompassed the construction industry and interior and exterior decoration, his main area being sculpture, furniture and advertising creations. His work has taken him around Italy and Europe, in France, Spain and Switzerland.

The care and attention to materials have always been a trademark of his work, in the name of a passion for marble and ancient stones that has led him to collaborate, throughout his 30-year career, with many highly qualified workshops, always in the interest of the encounter between tradition and modernity.
